For those of you who are internet-savvy and willing to take a risk, Priceline (priceline.com) is another option. You tell them your desired location (Hollywood/West Hollywood), class of hotel (1-4 stars), credit card number, and what you want to pay. Once you place your bid, you're obligated to complete the transaction if one of their hotel partners agrees to your price. The biggest down sides are that you won't know what hotel it is until you purchase and they absolutely won't allow any changes or cancellations. A gamble—and you probably won't be staying with the rest of our guests—but it can be the least expensive way to rent a hotel room.
